The Curse of the second novel

The process of writing the follow up to Founder’s Day is arduous to say the least. A lot of second guessing, self-doubt, and conflicting impulses to escalate the story or pull back the focus. This despite having several outlines, a literal timeline of events stretching back into the settings prehistory, and a series bible (which has admittedly been revised as the characters and antagonists evolve organically during the writing process).,,between the general chaos in my head and events both anticipated and well out of left field occurring IRL, writing this has been and is…difficult.

All that to say book two is slow going, but it IS still going. Hopefully on schedule.
