It has been a long, strange journey from “Founder’s Day” to “Uprisings”. We learned a lot from writing, publishing, and marketing the first entry of The Chronicles of Tryterra’s Ebonriver Trilogy. There were some course corrections, some thematic refocusing, etc. etc…”Uprisings” is a very different book than “Founder’s day”, both bigger in scope and more intimate. Hopefully. That’s what we were shooting for, anyway…
We also want to take a moment to say thank you to thoughtForm for the amazing oil paintings created for our cover art!
We’re happy to announce that, in the months since finishing the writing of “Uprisings”, we have been hard at work plotting the final installment of the Ebonriver trilogy. Work on the first draft will begin pretty much now (if it hasn’t already started by the time this update goes live).
So, you may be wondering, what comes after “The Chronicles of Tryterra: Reconciliation”?
First and foremost, work on “The Chronicles of Tryterra: Ebonriver” campaign setting has been running concurrently with each novel. Once the first draft of “Reconciliation” is done, the process of putting together the campaign book begins.
There’s also a standalone novel set on Tryterra in the works that will expand the world while building on [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted], and also setting up the stakes of the second trilogy (and campaign setting…).
The Chronicles of Tryterra itself - barring unforeseen obstacles to its completion - will encompass 12 books: three trilogies & three standalone novels…but don’t be surprised if we toss in a 13th book to tie up any lingering threads from the three trilogies.
Of course, life is life, so all of this is subject to the vicissitudes of fate, but we’re hoping that if you’re reading this, you’ll help us make it to that finish line…
…anyway, we hope you enjoy The Chronicles of Tryterra: Uprisings and, as always, we’d love to hear your thoughts on it so drop us a line and let us know how we’re doing!
